Teledahn Age

Teledahn Age was written in the year 8990 DE by Writer's Guild Grand Master Mararon for his good friend and fellow High Council member Lord Hinahsh, Grand Master of the Guild of Caterers.

At times during its history Teledahn supplied a special ingredient, shroom spores, for a bread recipe created by Lord Hinahsh, which was considered a delicacy by the D'ni elite.

Teledahn is sometimes called the mushroom Age for obvious reasons. The huge mushrooms which grow there are sturdy enough to be hollowed out and used as buildings.

After Lord Hinahsh's death in 9005, the Age was given to the Guild of Caterers. The Guild ran a successful operation there for a number of years, but eventually their activities caused environmental damage and they abandoned the Age.

Teledahn's dark side includes a history of slavery. This crime was carried on there by the last owner of the Age, Manesmo. The Guild of Maintainers was quietly investigating the situation before The Fall.

Teledahn Proverb

The truth of a man is found in the darkness beneath the surface.
Some light might reveal only what some men want to be seen.

Item 29

Baron
The Baron, or the Shroom Baron, seems to be a name which Dr. Kodama used to refer to Douglas Sharper.

Buggaro
The name that Douglas Sharper gave to the large flying insects in Teledahn.

Flapper
The name given to a flat, round, creature that feeds on mushroom spores. The flapper propels itself into the air and floats back down to the surface of the water.

Glyph
Each of the four Ages in the hydrant booksafes on Relto can be identified by matching the glyph on the booksafe to the glyph in the book of proverbs on the book shelf inside the hut. This is the glyph which represents Teledahn.

The book of proverbs tells us the names of the Ages, gives us a cryptic clue to understanding the nature of the Ages, and teaches us some D'ni numbers.

Map
This map of Teledahn was found on the desk in the Baron's city office in Ae'gura. Click the map for a larger view.

Mining Gun
This useful tool was originally used by D'ni miners to cut through rock. Be careful where you aim it; it's very powerful. The magnifying scope can be useful as an aid in capturing photographs of distant objects.

Sharper, Douglas
He worked very hard with the DRC to restore Teledahn to a condition safe enough for explorers to visit, and gave names to some of the indigenous creatures.

Shroomie
A very large, air breathing, crustacean. Little is currently known about these creatures, except that they are frightened of loud noises, eat flappers and mushrooms, and can be dangerous if frightened or angry.

Shrooms
The giant mushrooms found in the Age of Teledahn. These grow so large that they can be hollowed out and used as buildings.

Slave Caves
This map of the Slave Cave was found on the desk in the office on the highest level of the shroom where we first link to Teledahn inside the hut. It may prove useful. Click on the image to see a larger version.

Solar Machine
This machine is what supplies most of the power to the areas we've visited on Teledahn. It harnesses the power of the sun to turn the gears that run the buckets, the elevator, and other equipment. Use the scope to match the collector to the motion of the sun.
